At the heart of the board is the Genesys Logic GL835 card reader controller. It provides full SDXC support for cards up to 2TB, delivering fast load times over USB 2.0 while using Spread Spectrum Clocking to protect audio and video signals from RF interference. Power is cleanly filtered through an onboard Texas Instruments 3.3V LDO and a network of low-ESR Murata ceramic capacitors to ensure long-term stability under heavy read/write cycles. Powered by Genesys Logic GL835: Leverages a high-performance, crystal-less USB 2.0 to SD 3.0 controller chip supporting high-speed USB 2.0 transfer rates up to 480 Mbps and cards up to 2TB. This can saturate the bus to achieve maximum performance.

Improved Design: Signal integrity is greatly improved over other designs by keeping the chipsets single ended signals close to the SD Card socket, delay matching the USB signals and using shield/grounds provided in the Vita. The slot is taller and offset to make it as easy as possible to access the card and prevent it from becoming jammed in the casing.
